I'm sure

this was the scenester scene from hell (ooo, must listen to The Cribs), but sounds like some cool stuff went on...

Mark Ronson, Supergrass, The View, Babyshambles' Drew McConnell and Patrick Wolf were among those who performed collaborations last night (October 11) at the London Matter venue as part of the Diesel xXx series of gigs.

and oh HELL YES.

McConnell's final collaboration came next, when he played guitar to accompany Lethal Bizzle, backed by The Noisettes' drummer Jamie Morrison.

Abilities to speak or breathe...

I seem to have lost them.

Wee Kyle covering 'Don't Look Back In Anger.' With adorable somewhat-bad-dancing accompaniment.

I've listened to this song, oh THOUSANDS of times, and I have to say, the B-3 is a very nice touch.

As is the darling Scots imp singing it.

I have no words,

only incoherent sounds. Damn, I have to go lie down now.

The lineup for the Guardian's intimate Lounge tent at this year's Glastonbury festival has been confirmed today, with Kasabian, Estelle and Los Campesinos! all set to make an appearance.

The lounge, which will this year have an intimate "old mansion" theme, is set to host DJ sets from Hercules and the Love Affair and Guilty Pleasures. There will also be performances from Glastonbury stalwart Billy Bragg, Swedish pop star Annie, and Helsinki, the new side project from Babyshambles' bassist Drew McConnell.

This week's sign that the Apocalypse is upon us

As previously mentioned, my mom has satellite radio in her car. The following is an actual conversation-

Mom- "Hey, I think I heard that rapper from that YouTube clip that you made me watch."

Me- "Huh?"

Mom- "The one where Peter was rapping."*

Me- "Derek B?"

Mom- "Yeah, the one where your boy was laughing...."

*yes, my mom refers to Peter as, er, Peter. I've only talked incessantly about The Libs and the 'Shambles for the past 4 months...

Oh, Peter.....

Darling. You must stay away from camera phones. And ideally, smack.

Babyshambles drummer Adam Ficek has spoken to NME.COM about Pete Doherty's recent drug relapse, explaining that the singer was "distraught" about the event. As previously reported on NME.COM, Doherty was filmed taking heroin on Friday (November 2).He said that the first thing that the singer did when the news broke was sort out a return visit to a drug rehab."He's distraught, he really is," explained Ficek. "But there's no point in dwelling on it - going back into rehab is exactly the way to deal with it."It's a small glitch in his recovery. People don't go into rehab after years of drug use then never dabble again. I support my friend and I hope it's a one-off. He's still in a great, great place and he's still in the best shape I've seen him."

and from Drew

Speaking exclusively to NME.COM, bassist Drew McConnell applauded Doherty's self-made decision to seek professional help, and slammed the person who videoed his relapse. "We heard they [The Sun] were going to run a picture the day before, but I assumed it was going to be dug up old footage," McConnell said."When you've just come out of rehab and trying to stay clean with all your might, then some cunt comes round your house with a bag of stuff and a cameraphone, it must be hard to stop yourself."McConnell went on to explain that, despite Doherty's relapse, he was confident his bandmate could still make a full recovery. "He's more than capable of eventually being 100 per cent clean", he said."The guy needs professional help - the fact that he is seeking that help is a giant step in the right direction."

Say what you will about Pete, but the guy has some amazingly loyal bandmates.....

You have no idea

how happy this picture makes me. From a Love Music, Hate Racism gig.....

I adore this picture

Why? Let's go left to right.
lower row-
1. Love little Tom The Enemy's trackie jacket. And that he can convey attitude in a picture.
2. Wee Kieren. Sigh. Flashing a peace sign. Double sigh.
3. Wee Kyle's grin. So cute.
4. Bizzle's hoodie. Love it. Also love that his hand is bigger than Wee Kyle's head. Curly mop top and all....
Top row-
5. Carrrrrrrrrrloooooos. Hello, darlink.
6. Holy cow, is Kele Bloc Party SMILING? He is. Nice!
7. Drew. Le sigh. Am a bit concerned about the clerical look he's rocking, however. Who am I kidding? He's still swoon-worthy.
So many of my favorites....
