Oasis have since added third nights in Manchester (June 4) and London (July 9) at the same venues.With tickets going on sale at 10am(BST) this morning (October 24), the band had sold half a million tickets by 3pm. Oasis co-promoter Chris York of SJM Concerts speculated that "this has to be the most tickets ever sold by an artist in the UK in one day".

Oasis have announced details of the summer UK dates for 2009 this afternoon (October 16) at Wembley Stadium.After a quick photocall on the pitch, the band's leader Noel Gallagher hosted a question and answer session at the English football stadium confirming the band will play that venue twice, along with two special hometown gigs at Manchester's Heaton Park next year.Support at the shows, which also include the already announced show at Slane Castle, will come from Kasabian and The Enemy.

Oasis have announced details of a new US tour to support their forthcoming new album, 'Dig Out Your Soul'.

The 11-date tour includes a rescheduled gig at the John LaBatt Centre in London, Ontario.

The gig was originally cancelled after Noel Gallagher suffered rib injuries after being attacked onstage in Canada earlier this month.

The tour will see the band return to New York's Madison Square Garden, a venue they sold out in 2005.

My poor Noel. That looks like it really freaking hurt!

And way to throw a punch after the security (actually) did their jobs, Our Kid.

Yet that seems to have been what happened at the V festival in Toronto last night, when a stage-invader knocked him over. As the video above shows (from 1:30 onwards), the fan came running from the opposite side of the stage to Gallagher during Morning Glory, sneaking behind singer Liam Gallagher before pushing Noel to the ground.

The concert had to be stopped, although the band – who often refuse to play on after such incidents – returned to play a further six songs. According to Oasisnet.com, Noel was admitted to hospital after the show to be examined for a suspected fractured rib and ligament damage.

Oasis have announced they'll be playing their first ever concert in Cornwall.

The band will play at the Eden Project on Saturday 27 September ahead of their UK tour, which starts at the Liverpool Echo Arena on 7
October.

Anyone who wants to go will have to register at the official Oasis website from midday on 29 August and will then go into a draw for tickets.

Oasis release new album Dig Out Your Soul on 6 October with single The Shock Of The Lightning out on 29 September.

Oasis drummer Zak Starkey is unlikely to perform with the band again after falling out with singer/guitarist Noel Gallagher. According to The Sun today (May 12), Starkey is highly unlikely to play with the band on any forthcoming live dates, and his involvement in their forthcoming new album, recently completed, will be his last with Oasis.

Oasis have announced a handful of shows in the US and Canada, kicking off in Seattle on August 26.

The band have so far announced just four headlining shows, one of which is in the US with the remaining dates in Canada.

The Seattle show will mark the band’s first live performance in over two years. Following the short stint they will headline the Virgin Festival in Toronto.

I used to wake up my mum by playing Manic Monday by the Bangles when I was seven, but the first song I heard that made me think "Wahey! Music is fab!" was Don't Look Back in Anger when I was 11. I remember going to Glastonbury in a Volkswagen hippie van and having it large.

As much as I loved Blur because of Damon Albarn - I had pictures of him all over my diary at school - musically, I preferred Oasis. I've met Noel and Liam, we had a good old chat at the Met Bar, and they're lovely guys. I didn't tell them how much they meant to me. But they know I'm a massive fan. Mind you, when I met Liam I felt like a right twat, because they were going on tour and I said: "Wicked, are you going to do some of the old stuff?" He was probably thinking: "Fuck you."

Oasis will enter London's Abbey Road studios on November 5 to record their seventh album. They have already completed work on two songs set for the album, and have demoed the rest.

On a related note, here's a funny story. Last week, the flower shop had a very large wedding, which coincided with 3 of the other designers being out of town. Which left me and Jen- both huge Oasis fans- left to run the shop.

Friday night at about 8PM, we decided to take a break and watch the following clip. Well, as we were getting the YouTube keyed up, the speakers were acting wonky. I leaned forward to adjust them, and hit the keyboard with my boob. Then everything went sideways. Literally. I apparently hit the Control-Alt-down arrow combo....

It's quite telling that J and I continued to watch the clip, sideways. We're fans. And obviously, were reaching maximum punchiness at that point. This is shortly after we were dancing to 'Chelsea Dagger.' Okay, that's a daily occurrence. Singing to 'Shoot The Runner'? No, that's not uncommon.

Good Lord, are we constantly like that? Oh, dear.....

The band control domestic releases through their own Big Brother label but previously Sony took care of international distribution. Universal now have that role, starting with next month’s DVD release of Lord Don’t Slow Me Down.
