Plieux de Lomagne, Gers, Gascogne

Absolutely gorgeous- the village with the umber hills beyond- juxtaposed with the glorious colors of the rainbow...

Blooming Shrub at Bollullo Beach, Tenerife

I love the contrast of the hot pink blooms with the cool blue of the Atlantic.

File this under "too much time on their hands"

Well, this is just fucking ridiculous. Bastards.

A St. Louis-area town is considering a bill that would ban swearing in bars, along with table-dancing, drinking contests and profane music.

Happy birthday, sweetie!

Hope you had a great one, Thomas, and that everyone showed you their hands today. Because that seems like something you'd enjoy...

wedding

This is a bride's bouquet from a wedding we did last March- Denise sewed an organza collar for it, and Jen made the arrangement- with Hydrangea, Sweet Pea, Ranunculus and Stock. Simple, fragrant and gorgeous.

I made this one- used similar content to the bouquet, but added in white Agapanthus, Snapdragons, Bear Grass and Curly Willow.

LOVE

I love Jezebel.
This is why.
LOL cat-captioning French Vogue layouts.

More fleurs

These are some of the pieces that we did for the annual SE Iowa wedding show on Sunday- I made this bouquet with Freesia, spray Liatris, "Cool Water" roses and pips from Agapanthus that I wired in. I added sparkly beads in from Midwest of Cannon Falls, and wrapped the stems with ribbon from May Arts (my absolute fav ribbon enabler, er, wholesaler)

Jen made this one- she used "Hot Lavender" roses (which she left full-length), Salal leaves and loop-y bling-y things from Midwest.

Fleurs

This is an arrangement I did for a wedding last weekend-(the unity candle bit*)-I used white Oriental lillies, red roses, salal leaves, Dendrobiums and loops of bear grass. The bride wanted simple and sophisticated, but sparkly, so we weren't afraid of the spray glitter.

and this is the absolutely gorg bouquet that Jen did for the bride- all Cymbidum and Dendrobium orchids, done in a bouquet holder.
We ran into a problem when she went to spray it with floral lock (to keep the flowers in the holder like they should be- kind of like superglue for bouquets)- we had at some point lost the straw for the adhesive. Thankfully, my dad kindly went and found a WD-40 straw for J, which worked like a charm.....

The bouquet was "hit" with silver spray glitter as well- really made the flowers pop at the 5PM candlelight ceremony.

*thank God or whomever, they didn't do the weird pouring sand thing....

Awwwww

Nicole Kidman is expecting a baby with hubby Keith Urban, a favorite at my flower shop*. That is going to be one pretty bebeh. And thankfully, Nicole will have to lay off the Botox while knocked up.....bless her heart.

Australian Hollywood star and Chanel spokeswoman Nicole Kidman is expecting a baby with her husband, the country singer Keith Urban. A statement from her publicists said the couple were "thrilled".

As I'm entirely

too tired to write anything, here's a picture of my beloved pet, Holden Catfield.
Yes, he really is that floofy.
