Along with a really excellent pair of clippers and a sharp design knife, I would say that Aquaphor is right up there with florist essentials. Our hands are in water a lot, you see, and get really dried out and ashy.
I have really sensitive skin, and tend to break out in hives when I apply hand cream after conditioning flowers. Aquaphor doesn't make me hit the Benadryl, which is a very good thing.
