There was a late-night DJ around here that played a good bit of the Roses around 1989-90. I loved it, though it seemed ominous. Pretty, but ominous. I remember listening to the radio before I fell asleep, and hearing "I Wanna Be Adored" for the first time.

I wish I would have been more into them at the time, but, alas, I was 13 and in Iowa.
