Lucky bastards

At SXSW

Buzzcocks played a rousing set at South by Southwest today (March 16), closing out Spin Magazine's party at Stubb's Barbeque on a high note.

The seminal punk-pop band were introduced by former Jane's Addiction frontman and Lollapalooza founder Perry Farrell, who emphasised the band's longevity and tremendous influence.

Guitarist/vocalist Pete Shelley exhibited the energy of a 20-year-old, and led his band through the paces during their hour-plus set.

"Austin power, yeah baby!" he said, and the crowd erupted.

The band, which recently celebrated their 30th anniversary, played several hits from their early days including 'Orgasm Addict', 'Sick City Sometimes', 'Promises' and 'Ever Fallen In Love'.
